| On Saturday, August 14, 2010, Pure Water Wilderness (Dixie, Gilchrist, Levy Tourist Development Board) will be sponsoring their "2nd Annual Suwannee River Clean-Up" paddling event. The event is free; we have a limited number of canoes available for use by the participants or bring your own. Must call (352) 463-3467 to reserve a canoe and register. The first 50-paddlers to register will receive a beautiful t-shirt highlighting the event as well everyone will be provided lunch. The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. at various locations along the Suwannee River and will end around 2:00 p.m. with lunch and chances to win some great prizes.
